intrinsic properties that are the same regardless of size
extrinsic properties that are a function of size
vapor a liquid that is behaving as a gas below its normal boiling temperature
distillation the process of separating 2 liquids by using differences in their boiling points
element an atom or collection of atoms that are all the same type
compound a combination of 2 or more elements in a set ratio
