Vocabulary for Unit 1

QuestionAnswer
multiplication adding a number to itself a specified number of times; repeated addition
array an arrangement of groups or sets into columns and rows
dimensions the number of rows and columns in an array; the length if the length and width (rectanglar)
multiple the product of a quantity; the quantity a factor lands on when skip-counting
factor any of the numbers that when multiplied together form a product
product the number resulting from the multiplication together of two or more numbers
Comutative Property multiplication problems where the factors are reversed, giving the same product (Ex: 8X6=6X8)
