QuestionAnswer
Author SOmeone who writes something and has the right to copyright it, so no one can use his or her information.
Bibliograpthy A record of all sources read and consulted for your research. (Even if the work is not specifically cited.)
Blog An online site where you can see comments from people on books, shows, plays, ect.
Cite List sources used for a research paper or project in a bibliography.
Copyright A United States law that protects the work of authors, artists, composers, and others from being used without a guide or key.
Cryptology The science of encoding and decoding plain text messages so that they cannot be read by anyone without a guide or key.
Cyberbullying The act of attacking someone through technology like websites, IM, and texting.
Data Information gathered from research or results.
Digizen A digital citizen.
Encryption Encoding phrases, numbers, or words using a secret code so the message is hidden.
Ethics A system of moral principles.
Fair Use The right of the public to make reasonable use of copyrighted material in special circumstances without the copyright owner's permission.
Forum An open discussion usually referring to an Internet forum, but also a public meeting or assembly for an open discussion.
Hacker An expert computer programmer who creates complex software and hardware.
Internet World wide system of computer networks in which users at any one computer can get information.
Netiquette Internet etiquette.
Plagiarism Using and author's work without giving him credit and calling it your own.
Public domain Works that belong to everyone and can be freely used without permission.
Research Asking questions and finding answers.
Site A place on the Internet.
Source A book, a picture, a website, or somewhere you can collect information and use for research.
Works cited Listing of articles, books, dissertations and other works that are specifically referenced by quote or paraphrase.
Malware Malicious software that can cause your computer to be slower.
Spam An unsolicited email message advertising a product that you don't want.
Flaming Using technology to attack other people with hurtful or insulting words.
Paraphrase Restatment of a text or passages, using other words.
