ESA vocabulary words... for Mr. Robert's 7th grade English class. #1

WordDefinion
Feeble Adj- lacking in physical or mental strength
Scowling V- to draw one's brows together in an angry or bad tempered expression
Dignity N- serious, calm and controlled behavior or manner
Changeling N- a child believed to have been exchanged by faries for the parents' true child
Appalling Adj- causing dismay, horror or revulsion
Carnal Adj- relatingto the appetites and passions of the body
Inaudible Adj- not lound enough to be heard
Solicitor N- a lawyer who advises clients on matter of law, draws up legal documents and prepares cases for barristers.
Fluctuations N- frequent and erratic changes
Ponder V- to consider truly or deeply
Leisurely Adj- unhurried; relaxed
Lineament N- a facial outline or distinctive feature
Shuffling V- to walk or move (the feet) with a slow, dragging motion
Prerogative N- an exclusive privilege or right
Pleading V- to declare oneself to be guilty or not guilty of a charge.
