QuestionAnswer
Alliteration Consonant sounds repeated at the beginnings of words.
Allusion Brief reference to a well-known person, place, thing, event or idea in history or literature.
Antagonist The character who opposes the protagonist.
Atmosphere A special mood or character associated with a place.
Assonance Repeated vowel sounds in a line or lines of poetry.
Ballad a simple narrative poem, composed in short stanzas and adapted for singing.
Blank Verse Verse without rhyme. Uses iambic pentameter.
Climax A decisive moment that is a major turning point in a plot.
