Dog training instructor test

American Kennel Club. This organization is dedicated to upholding the integrity of its Registry, promotiong the sport of purebred dogs, and breeding for type and function. (Chapter 3) AKC
A person who has been certified (by taking an online test) by the AKC to administer the Canine Good Citizen test. (Chapter 2) AKC-Certified CGC Evaluator
Body positions and begaviors that dogs use to communicate their state of mind. Submission, doninance, aggression, and fear are the most common ones. (Chapter 4) Attitudes
A person who learns by listening to someone tell them how to do the task or activity. (Chapter 21) Auditory Learner
Class for dogs at least 6 months and older. Six weeks long. Helps pet parents and dogs learn basic behaviors, including "Come," "Sit," and "Stay." (Chapter 2) Basic Class
Teaches pet parents how to use clicker training methods to train dogs. Behaviors include "Here, Girl;" "Shake;" and "Spin." (Chapter 2) Beginning Tricks Class

The act of rewarding a dog for a behavior when the dog performs the behavior spontaneously. (Chapter 13) Capturing
Canine Good Citizen. This class was develooped in partnership with the AKC. It prepares dogs to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test, which tests whether dogs behave like "canine good citizens" in 10 simulated situations. (Chapter 2) CGC (Canine Good Citizen)
Collar that works by tighening around dog's neck as the dog pulls. NOT allowed for use in dog training classes or by novice pet parents.
