| homonymous hemianopsia | loss of R or L half of field of vision in both eyes |
| kinesthesia | ability to perceive direction and extent of movement of joint or body part |
| neglect | inability to interpret stimuli on L side of body due to lesion on right frontal lobe of brain |

| balance is dependent on: | somatosensory input, visual input, and vestibular input |
| Anterior Cord Syndrome | loss of motor function, pain & temp sense below level of lesion |
| Brown-Sequard"s Syndrome | paralysis & loss position sense on same side loss of pain & temp sense on opposite side |
| Central Cord Syndrome | greater involvement to UE than LE greater motor deficits than sensory deficits |
| Posterior Cord Syndrome | loss of pain perception, 2 pt discrimination and stereognosis (motor function OK) |
| Autonomic Dysreflexia | (lesions above T6) sudden elevation in blood pressure, usually due to distended bladder, kink in catheter line, tight clothing |
| Orthostatic Hypotension | decrease in systolic blood pressure > 20 mm Hg after moving from supine to sitting (dizziness, light-headedness, nausea) |
