Algebra Applications Unit 2

Equation a statement that shows two quantities have the same value
Inequality A mathematical equation containing either a greater than, less than or not equal to symbols
Term A part of an algebraic equation or a number in a sequence or a series or a product of real numbers and/or variables.
Like Terms Terms with the same variable and the same exponents/degrees
Absolute Value the distance an integer is from zero on a number line
Variable the letter that represents an unknown number
Solve to work out to find a solution
Function for every “x” value there is exactly one “y” value
