| Rhyme | the similarity of ending sounds existing between two words |
| simile | a comparison between two objects using like, as, or than |
| stanza | a grouping of two or more lines of a poem in terms of length or rhyme scheme |
| paradox | a statement that seems untrue, that seems to contradict itself |
| symbol | something that stands for something else |
| apostrophe | a figure of speech that references (dead) person |
