appall,v- to fill with horror, disgust, or outrage, to shock. I was appalled when i saw will rudolf beat trey in the high jump.
contraint,n- something that restricts or limits. Mrs. Landry constrained diego from chewing gum in class by catching him right before he was about to walk through the door.
dissuade,v- to advise against,to persuade someone out of a course of action. Before my friend got really drunk, and was about to hurt somebody, i dissuaded him by telling him he would go to jail.
falter,v- to hesitate to waver. I hesitated when someone faked threw a ball at my face.
frail,adj- easily broken, delicate. Michael Corchiani broke Mrs.Landry's frail piece of art by hitting it on the floor.
hypothetical,adj- assumed without proof, uncertain. I was being Hypothetical after my english test because i thought i had aced it.
irate,adj- extremely angry, enraged. Taylor is Irate when he doesn't take his pill.
peninsula,n- a piece of land that extends from the mainland into a body of water. On the african boat tour i saw a peninsula in the middle of the water.
placid,adj- calm peaceful. Going on a placid cruise is a way to relax.
prejudice,n- an irracional suspicion or hostility toward a particular group, race, or religion. At school kids were throwing pennies at the jew seeing if he would pick them up.
prelude,n- an introductory event, action, or performance. At the concert, the prelude to lil wayne is trey songz.
profane,adj- showing contempt for what is sacred, disrespectful to religion. The profane man walking down the road was making fun of the jews coming out of there temple.
puny,adj- less normal in size and strength. Will rudolf is puny when it comes to playing football against Trey.
skirmish,n- a minor short-lived battle. michael and Trey's skirmish was from football when michael was holding on to Trey's shirt.
ruthless,adj- without passion or mercy. Mrs. Landry was being ruthless when I fell down the stairs by not helping me.
