Circle of Stories- Characteristics of Romance Genre

QuestionAnswer
Hero/Heroine possess extraordinary powers Hero or Heroine possesses powers or qualities above the ordinary expected ones. "Everyday" hero has extra courage or bravery. Superheroes can have powers like extreme strength or ability to fly.
Recognizable Villain The hero/heroine battles a concrete or abstract villain successfully. Concrete villain is an actual person or monster the hero needs to beat either by wits or strength. An abstract villain could be extreme weather, pollution or a government.
Action-Packed Plot contains a lot of exciting action and adventure.
Heroic Events Battle is of utmost importance.
Exotic Settings Story takes place in unusual or exotic surroundings.
