| Chemical Property | This is a characteristic of a pure substance that describes its ability to change into different substances. |
| Element | This is a pure substance that cannot be broken down into any other substances by physical or chemical means. |
| Atom | This is the basic particle from which all elements are made. |
| Chemical Bond | This happens when atoms combine, which is a force of attraction between 2 atoms. |
| Molecule | These are groups of two or more atoms held together by chemical bonds. |
| Compound | This is a pure substance made of two or more elements chemically combined in a set ratio. |
| Chemical Formula | This shows the elements in the compound and the ratio of atoms. |
| Mixture | This is made of two or more substances - elements, compounds, or both. |
| Heterogeneous Mixture | In this mixture you can see the different parts. |
| Homogeneous Mixture | The contents in this mixture are evenly mixed so that you can't see the different parts. |
