QuestionAnswer
Area The number of square units needed to cover a surface enclosed by a geometric figure.
Center The given point from which all points on a circle or sphere are the same distance.
Circle The set of all points in a plane that are the same distance from a given point called the center.
Circumference The distance around a circle.
Diameter The distance across a circle through its center.
Formula An equation that shows a relationship among certain quantities.
Perimeter The distance around a closed geometric figure.
Radius The distance from the center of a circle to any point on the circle.
Base The base of a parallelogram or triangle is any side of the figure. The bases of a trapezoid are the parallel sides.
Hight The length of the segment perpendicular to the base with the endpoints on opposite sides. In a triangle, the distance from a base to the opposite vertex.
