0.9% NaCl (NSS) Controllable Hemmorage w/o Shock 100-200 cc/hr ;;;w/ Shock 10-20 cc/kg, titrate to adequate perfusion;;;;Incontollable w/ shock,,,IV's wide open until minimum sighns of perfusion
Lactated Ringers Controllable w/o shock 100-200 cc/hr;;;;Controlable w/ shock 10-20 cc/kg, titrate to adequate perfusions;;;;Uncontrollable w/ shock...IV wide open until minimum sighns of perfusion
D5W IV drip,KVO 1 drop every 2-4 sec.
D50W 12-25 gm, SIVP ,,continuous reassessment of IV patentcy every 5-15 cc
Glucagon 1 mg IM, may repeat in 10 min
Epinephirine 1:1000 0.3-0.5 mg, SQ or IM max twice every 20 min(Asthma / Allergic reation)
Epinephirine 1:10,000 Cardiac Arrest: 1 mg IVP every 3-5 min, 2-2.5 mg diluted w. NSS to min. 10 cc. ET;(Anaphylaxis) 0.1-0.5 SIVP over 1.5 to 5 min.,.3-.5 mg diluted to min 10cc ET;
Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) 25-50 mg SIVP at 25 mg/min; or IM
Naloxone (Narcan) IV / IO 1-2 mg (in 0.4 mg increments) max 2 mg: 2mg. IM or IntraNasal; 2-4 mg diluted w/ NSS to min 10 cc
Furosemide (Lasix) 40-100 mg SIVP at 20 mg/min
Nitroglycerin 0.4 mg SL every 5 min, 3 times
Morphine Sulfate 2-5 mg SIVP at 2 mg/min, reasess every 5 min; 5-20 mg IM / SQ; ACLS 2-4 mg, repeat every 5-15 min at 2-8 mg
Lidocaine 1st- 1-1.5 mg/kg; 2nd. 0.5-.75 mg/kg max 3 mg/kg
Midazolam 1.0-2.5 mg. SIVP q 2-3 min or 5 mg deep IM
Diazepam 5-10 mg seizures; 2-5 mg anxiety IVP
Metaproterenol ( Alupent ) Neb. 10-15 mg > 2-3 cc NSS or MDI 0.65 mg 2-3 Inhalations w/ 2 min between
Terbutaline ( Brethine, Bricanyl ) SQ 0.25 mg, may repeat in 15-30 min; MDI 2 INHALATIONS (200 mcg) 1-2 min apart
Aminophylline ( Somophyllin ) IVPB 250-5-- mg in 100 cc over 20-30 min Do not exceed 20 mg/min
Hydrocortisone Sodium Succinate ( Solu-Cortef) 40-250 mg SIVP at 25 mg/min or deep IM, 100-125 Normal
