What is Newton's Second Law of Motion? For an object of certain mass, the greater the force applied to the object, the greater its increase in velocity over time (acceleration)
What is Newton's Third Law of Motion? For every action, there is an equal reaction in the opposite direction
What is acceleration? An increase in velocity over time. It results from the application of a force to an object
If something is thrown in a straight line alongside the ground what path does it travel in? A curved path
What makes the thing thrown in a straight line travel in a curved path? Gravity
Can we see gravity? What do we say it is? No we can's see gravity -- we call it a force. Because it can't be seen, we can't tell what it is, but rather what it does
What is Gravitaional Field? The mass and force that draws them close together. The bigger the mass the stronger the field
