Protagonist Main character of the story, sometmies call the hero.
Antagonist A character or force in conflict with the main character, sometimes known as a the villian.
Character A person or animal who takes part in the action of the story.
Simile Comparison using "like" or "as".
Metaphor Direct comparison NOT using "like" or "as".
Personification Giving human characteristics to a non-human thing.
Setting The time and place of a story.
Plot The series of events in a story.
POint of View The perspective from which the story is told. 1st Person, 3rd person limited, 3rd person omniscient
1st Person Story told through the narrators eyes. Uses "I".
3rd person Limited Story told from one point of view. Does not use "I".
Conflict A struggle between two forces
Climax Turning point of the story.
