The bronchi are the tow main airway branches that bifricate off the trachea
The two main branches are called right primary bronchus and the left primary bronchus
The primary bronchi divide to form small bronchi called the secondary (lober) bronchi
The secondary or lobar bronchi continue to brand forming even smaller bronchi called tertiary (segmented) bronchi
Teritiary or segmented bronchi divide into smaller branchi called bronchioles
Bronchioles branch into even smaller tubes called terminal bronchioles
Terminal bronchioles subdivided into microscopic branches called respiratory bronchioles.
