| Point | An exact position in space |
| Line | An infinite set of points forming a straight path in two directions |
| Line Segment | A part of a line defined by two end points |
| Ray | A part of a line that has one endpoint and extends indefinitely in one direction |
| Plane | A flat surface that extends indefinitely in all directions |
| Angle | Two rays that share an end |
| Right Angle | An angle that measures exactly 90 degrees |
| Acute Angle | An angle with a measure of less than 90 degrees |
| Obtuse Angle | An angle with a measure of more than 90 degrees |
| Straight Angle | An angle with a measure of exactly 180 degrees |
| Reflex Angle | An angle that measures more than 180 degrees |
| Vertex | The point at which two line segments, lines, or rays meet to form an angle |
| Congruent | Having the exact same shape and size |
| Parallel Lines | Always the same distance apart. They never intersect. |
| Perpendicular Lines | Two lines forming right angles |
| Complimentary Angles | 2 angles that add up to 90 degrees |
| Rectangle | Quadrilateral with 2 pairs of opposite sides parallel and congruent and 4 right angles |
| Adjacent Angles | Angles that are next to each other (share a vertex and a side between them) |
| Vertical Lines | Opposite angles formed by intersecting lines |
| Rhombus | Quadrilateral with 2 pairs of opposite sides parallel and all sides equal |
| Isoosceles | Triangle with 2 sides equal |
| Equilateral | Triangle with all sides equal |
| Quadrilateral | 4-sided shape |
| Alternate Exterior Angles | Angles on opposite sides of the transversal and outside the parallel lines |
| Hexagon | 6-sided shape |
| Octagon | 8-sided shape |
| Alternate Interior Angles | Angles on opposite sides of the transversal and inside the parallel lines |
| Supplementary Angles | 2 angles that add up toe 180 degees |
| Pentagon | 5-sided shape |
| Decagon | 10-sided shape |
| Vertex | The point where an angle is formed |
| Parallelogram | Quadrilateral with 2 pairs of opposite sides parallel |
| Scalene | Triangle with no sides equal |
| Corresponding Angles | "Matching Angles" In the same location on a different line |
| Trapezoid | Quadrilateral with 1 pair of opposite sides parallel |
| Square | Quadrilateral with 2 pairs of opposite sides parallel all sides congruent, and 4 right angles |
