QuestionAnswer
Mood Feelings created in reader towards the subject.
Anecdote A simple and unelaborated narration of an incident.
Artistic License Freedom to depart from know fact to create a story, and effect.
Artistic Unity A careful selection and logical arrangement of all episodes and details so that every aspect of the story is linked together and has a sense of wholeness.
Autobiography Tells about your own life.
Biography Tells life of another person.
Dialect A form of language spoken by people in a particular group or region.
Emphasis Stress placed on words or phrases, by highlighting them in some manner.
Epiphany A sudden realization, an awareness.
Exposition Writing or speech that informs, presents, or explains information.
Fiction Prose that tells about imaginary characters and events.
Local Color Use of Characters and details from a specific geographic region.
Memoir French word memory. Recollection of an incident from one's own past experiences or experiences of another.
Narration A writing that tells a story.
Nonfiction Prose that tells about real things.
Point of View Perspective or vantage point from which a story is told.
Process Analysis Examination of steps involved, in a particular operation performed to bring about, a desired result
