What is direct presentation? We are told explicitly what a character is like. eg: appearence/phisical desctption; relationships; background.
If we have to guess or infer a character's traits, eg: by actions, or dialog. What is this called? Indirect Presentation.
What is a flat Chartacter? A flat character is undimentional simple, whith few character traits.
What do you call a multidimentional, complex character whith more then one domonent character trait? A round character.
Dynamic characters are what? A character that changes from begining to the end of the story.
Static Character - A character that ________ ? Doesn't change throughout the story.
What can a setting establish? It can establish a mood in the story, it can also reveal a character.
What is a symbole? A concret noun that represents an abstract idea. It is an image that stands for something bigger then itself.
A setting describes what? Where on a map geographicaly.Or gernerally - any city, countryside, school, house ...
A setting also describes _____? When. eg: when in history, Current, Ancinen, When in the year, What season,Time of day? ... and more.
In addition, setting also describes _____ ? The atmosphere. eg: mood, weather, or "feeling."
What season is the symbole of mew life? Spring.
Summer symboleizes _______? Fullness of life.
What is the definition of Plot? The defineition of plot is a series of event that make up a story.
What is an antogonist? A character or forces working against the protagonist.
What is devonment? Events after the climax.
What is a protagonist? A protagonist is a main character facing a challenge, trying to make that goal.
What are a few conflics that can arise in a story? Person vs. Person. Person vs. Self. Person vs. Supernatural.
What are the rest of the conflics that can arise in a story? Person vs. Nature. Person vs. God. Person vs. Tecknowledgy.
What is the defineition of Conflict? Tension or battle that exists between two elements of the story.
What are the five parts of the plot of a story?(in order) Exsposition, Conflict, Riseing Action, Crisis or Turning Point, Climax, Denovment, Pesolution.
What happens in the Exsposition? Setting is useually described, and we meetthe main character(s).
What happens in the Conflict? We find out what the struggle/disagreement is, and who is vs. who.
What happens in the riseing action? Tension builds as we move toward the climax.
What happens in the Climax? It is the highest point of action or emotion in the story.
What happens in the resolution? The conflict ends.
What happens in the Crises or Turning Point? It anticipats the resolution, and an event or struggle for the main character.
