| commutative property of addition | 4+6 = 6+4, you change the order without affecting the solution |
| commutative property of multiplication | 3*7=7*3(same as addition) |
| Additive Identity | Any number added to zero equals itself, 5+0=5 |
| Multiplicative Identity | Any number times one is itself, 6*1=6 |
| Multiplicative Property of zero | Any number times zero is zero, 8*0 = 0 |
| Associative property of Multiplication | Change the grouping, if its all multiplication, the solution is the same. (3 *10)*5=3*(10 * 5) |
| Additive Inverse | Subtraction is a lie perpertrated by first grade teachers so they can have a job. 9 -3 =9 +(-3) |
| Multiplicative Inverse | When you multiply by the reciprocal. Used with fractions. 5÷2/7=5*7/2 |
