QuestionAnswer
commutative property of addition 4+6 = 6+4, you change the order without affecting the solution
commutative property of multiplication 3*7=7*3(same as addition)
Additive Identity Any number added to zero equals itself, 5+0=5
Multiplicative Identity Any number times one is itself, 6*1=6
Multiplicative Property of zero Any number times zero is zero, 8*0 = 0
Associative property of Multiplication Change the grouping, if its all multiplication, the solution is the same. (3 *10)*5=3*(10 * 5)
Additive Inverse Subtraction is a lie perpertrated by first grade teachers so they can have a job. 9 -3 =9 +(-3)
Multiplicative Inverse When you multiply by the reciprocal. Used with fractions. 5÷2/7=5*7/2
