Classical roots

QuestionAnswer
bilateral Having or formed of two sides; two-sided.
bipartisan Of, consisting of, or supported by members of two parties, especially two major political parties: a bipartisan resolution.
bisect To cut or divide into two parts, especially two equal parts.
duplex Twofold; double. Having two apartments, divisions, or floors.
duplicate Identically copied from an original.
monarch One who reigns over a state or territory, usually for life and by hereditary right, especially:
monogram A design composed of one or more letters, typically the initials of a name, used as an identifying mark.
monolith A large block of stone, especially one used in architecture or sculpture.
monologue A long speech made by one person, often monopolizing a conversation.
monopoly Exclusive control by one group of the means of producing or selling a commodity or service: "Monopoly frequently ... arises from government support or from collusive agreements among individuals" (Milton Friedman).
unanimous Sharing the same opinions or views; being in complete harmony or accord.
unilateral Of, on, relating to, involving, or affecting only one side: "a unilateral advantage in defense" (New Republic).
