What is speed with direction? Velocity
What is the measurement of change in speed over time? Acceleration
What occurs when an unbalanced force acts on an object and causes it to change speed or direction? Acceleration
What is the resistance of an object to change speed or direction which depends on its mass? Inertia
What law says; "An object in motion will stay in motion and an object at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force"? Newton's First Law
What law is called the law of acceleration? Newton's Second Law
What law states that for every action force there is an equal and opposite reaction force? Newton's Third Law
What is heat energy? It is the energy from exothermic reactions or decomposising biomatter in compost. Thermal Energy
What is energy from the Sun that travels to the Earth in electromagnetic waves? Radiant Energy
What is the energy stored in the nucleus of an atom? It is the energy powering our sun. Nuclear Energy
What is the energy stored in chemical bonds? Type of energy seen in batteries, breaking down food or burning fossil fuels. Chemical Energy
What is energy associated with mechanical movement of gears or machines. Can be seen in the turning of windmills of the movement of the human body. Mechanical Energy
What is the energy stored in the stretching or bending of objects? Can be seen in rubber bands and tennis balls. Elastic Energy
What happens when one kind of energy changes into another kind? This is seen when the radiation of the sun helps to produce glucose in a plant into chemical energy. Energy Transforamtion
Which law states that energy cannot be created or destroyed? Law of the Conservation of Energy

What is the amount of matter in an object? Mass
