operating systems Lets you control how computers communicate with the hardware and how they interact with you.
applications Allow you to complete a specific task. Applications let you create a report browse the internet edit a multimedia video or calculate a math problem applications are generally installed on a local computer.
online apps Allow you to complete specific tasks such as editing photos playing games and viewing multimedia. Online apps run over the internet inside a web browse or on a smartphone.
