| accuracy | being as close as correct as possible |
| procedure | the steps you follow in a lab experiment |
| hypothesis | prediction, educated guess that uses format if and then. |
| constants | things that remain the same in an experiment |
| variable | anything that can change during an experiment |
| independent variable | the variable that is purposely being changed in an experiment(being tested) |
| dependent variable | the variable that you are measuring(in response to the independent variable) |
| What does CER mean? | claim, evidence, reasoning |
| what is a claim | a statement that answers the question. It will usually only be one sentence in length(does not include any explanation or reasoning aswell as evidence, therefore no words like because in the claim) |
| what is evidence? | evidence is the data used to support the claim. It can either be quantitative or qualitative depending on the question and/ or lab. Only use data with evidence that supports the claim. |
| what is reasoning | explanation of how and why the evidence supports the claim. |
| what is quanative data | measures numbers, counts, and amounts, |
| what s qualative data | describes qualities, characteristics, and experiences |
