accreditation the fact of being officially recognized, accepted, or approved of.
approval programs that train phlebotomist receive approval from a professional organization.
certification evidence that an individual has demonstrated proficiency in a particular area of practice.
continuing education units (CEUs) provide new information, regulations, and techniques to help phlebotomists refresh less used skills.
informed consent patient must be informed of intended procedures and treatments and their risks before they are performed.
phlebotomy practice of drawing blood.
protected health information any information about patient name, address, contact info, race, health status. etc.
standards the establish requirements and program for approval.
