Globalization increasing interconnectedness of countries.
main actors in IR state actors & non-state actors.
state actors sovereign governments (most important in world politcs).
non-state actors united nations (UN), NGOs (non-governmental orgs), terrorist groups, multinational corporations.

levels of analysis individual, domestic, & international/system
individual analysis level focuses on leaders & decision makers
domestic analysis level focuses on internal politics & society
international/system analysis level focuses on interactions among states
collective goods problem occurs when everyone benefits from a public good, but people may avoid contributing to it.
