Controlled Study an experiment
Question the information you are looking for. It must be testable and measurable.
Hypothesis an educated guess of the outcome, If then statement
Control what stays the same in the experiment
Independent Variable/ Manipulated the 1 thing the scientist changes in the experiment
Dependent Variable/Responding the measurable results that are observed and recorded
Model diagram of the experiment
Procedure the steps you follow to perform the experiment
Qualitative Observations Uses the 5 senses to gather information
Quantitative Observations Create a graph or chart based on your findings
Inference conclusion based on observations
Graph Graph-line or bar graph of Quantitative observations
Conclusion end results which contain your Claim, Evidence and Reasoning
Claim answers the question
Evidence write quantitative observations to prove the answer
Reasoning why the results occurred. Use the evidence to back up the claim.
