我是美国人您呢？ wǒ shì měi guó rén, nìn ne? - I am from America, and you?
很高兴认识您！ Hěn gāo xīng rèn shí nín! - Nice to meet you!
你有兄弟姐妹吗？ nǐ yǒu xiōngdì jiěmèi ma? - Do you have siblings?
我有一个姐姐，两个弟弟， 你呢？ wǒ yǒu yì ge jiějie, liǎng ge dìdi. Nǐ ne? - I have one older sister, one younger brother, and you?
我也有一个姐姐。 wǒ yě yǒu yì ge jiějie. - I also have one older sister.
你有哥哥吗？ Nǐ yǒu gēge ma? - Do you have an older brother?
我没有哥哥，也没有弟弟。 我只有一个姐姐。 Wǒ méi yǒu gēge, yě méi yǒu dìdi. Wǒ zhǐ yǒu yí ge jiějie. - I don't have an older brother, also I don't have a younger brother. I only have one older sister.
婆婆你好？ Pó po nǐ hǎo? - (Mother-in-law, older woman, grandma) how are you?
你好吗？ Nǐ hǎo ma? - How are you? (more formal)
还好吗？ Hái hǎo ma? - How are you? Still good?
马马虎虎 Mǎ mǎ hū hū - so-so, not very good, not very bad. (Literally translates to horse, horse, tiger, tiger)
还可以 Hái kěyǐ - "not bad," "pretty good," or "passable"
不好 Bù hǎo - Not good (expect follow up questions)
你今天还好吗 Nǐ jīn tiān hái hǎo ma? - How are you today? Are you doing okay today?
你住在哪里 Nǐ zhù zài nǎ lǐ? - Where do you live?
今天星期几 Jin tian xing qi ji - What day of the week is today?
今天星期三 jīn tiān xīng qī sān - today is Wednesday
