Properties of Real Numbers Definitions

| Inverse Property of Addition | using opposite to "cancel" a value a + (-a) = 0 or 4 + (-4) = 0 |
| Inverse Property of Multiplication | using the opposite to "cancel" a value a * (1/a) = 1 or 5 * (1/5) = 1 |
