TermDefinition
Active pane The pane in which the insertion point is currently located.
Default A standard setting.
Footer Text or graphics printed at the bottom of all pages in a document.
Header Text or graphics printed at the bottom of all pages in a document.
Nonprinting characters character such as paragraphs marks and tab symbols that are not printed in a document but that can be displayed on the screen.
Paragraph mark A nonprinting character inserted in a document to indicate where the paragraph ends.
Word map A feature that cause a text to move automatically from the of one line to the beginning of the next line.
Style A collection of formatting settings that can be applied to paragraphs or characters.
Style set A collection of styles that have coordinated colors and fonts.
Templates A document that contains formatting, styles, and sample texts that you can use to create a new document.
Theme A set coordinated colors, fonts, and effects that can be applied to a office document.
Horizontal alignment A position of text in relation to the width of the page.
