independent variable The variable that is not affected by other variables in an experiment
failure point The point at which the design solution no long works, demonstrating the solution has a limit
trial One of many repeated test in an investigation
dependent variable The variable that is affected by other variables in an experiment and whose change is observed and measured
proposal A suggestion presented for consideration
benefit The advantage or the good os something
characteristic A specific quality or trait
prototype The first fully designed example of a new technology
bias A personal view that affects the interpretation of facts
variable The part of a test that can be changed
