IDEIA – Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act Schools must consider assistive technology devices and services for all students with IEPs and provide needed at when it is required for the student to receive FAPE.
Section 504/508 of the Rehabilitation Act Section 504 protects people with disabilities from discrimination in federally funded programs and requires students to receive FAPE. Section 508 requires federal agencies to make electronic information technology accessible to people with disabilities.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) – 1990 Protects people with disabilities by requiring reasonable accommodations and equal access to employment, government programs, public places, and communication services.
