National Decision Model (NDM) 2

What sits at the centre of the National Decision Model? The Code of Ethics
List the NDM stages around the centre, in order Gather information and intelligence -> Assess threat and risk, develop a working strategy -> Consider powers and policy -> Identify options and take action -> Review what happened
Why is the NDM used in scenario assessment? Assessors ask candidates to talk through their NDM reasoning, checking the decision-making PROCESS, not just whether the outcome was correct
Is the NDM a linear one-off process or continuous? Continuous and cyclical — you return to earlier stages as new information emerges during an incident
