| Question | Answer |

| Close button | the x in the top right corner that closes word |
| Focus mode button | hides toolbars so you can focus on writing |
| Insertion point/cursor | the line where your text appears when you type |
| Quick access toolbar | a tiny toolbar in the bottom corner with shortcuts to common tools |
| Ribbon | the big toolbar at the top with tools like bold, italic, and insert picture |
| Ribbon display options | a button that hides the ribbon to make room on your screen |
| Ribbon tabs | the words at the top of the ribbon that show different tools |
| Ruler | shows measurements so you can line things up nicely |
| Status bar | the bar at the bottom that shows info like page number, word count, and spelling errors |
| Title bar | the area at the top that shows the name of the document |
| Vertical scroll bar | the bar on the right that lets you move up and down in your document |
| View buttons | buttons that change how your document looks |
| Zoom slider | a slider at the bottom right that lets you zoom in or out on your document |
