After the fall of Rome, what three groups succeeded them in religion? Islam, Byzantine empire in the east, and a number of states practicing Roman Catholicism in the west.
How were Byzantium and Latin Christendom connected? How did this affect one another? They shared a bond of Christian faith. This bind of faith was able for both sides to have commonalities even if they don't speak the same language.
Who was Justinian who ruled the early Byzantine empire? He was an early Ruler of the Byzantine empire who came from a peasant family.
Name the closest advisor to Justinian. Additionally, what was his ultimate goal? His wife, Theodora, was his closest advisor. His ultimate goal was to control both state and the church.
What topic of debate was argued between both Byzantine and the Latin Christendom? Who believed in what? Both sides argued the divine nature of Jesus, Byzantine believed in Jesus being divine and man. Whereas the Latin Christendom believed in Jesus being wholly divine.
