| Osteomalacia | Oste/o (bone) + -malacia (softening). Abnormal softening of the bone tissue, often due to vitamin D deficiency. |
| Arthrralgia | Arthr/o (joint) + -algia (pain). Pain localized within a joint. |
| Chondrectomy | Chondr/o (cartilage) + -ectomy (surgical removal). The surgical excision or removal of cartilage. |
| Myositis | Myos/o (muscle) + -itis (inflammation). Inflammation of a muscle or muscle groups. |
| Tenotomy | Ten/o (tendon) + -tomy (incision). Surgical incision or cutting into a tendon. |
| Neuroplasty | Neur/o (nerve) + -plasty (surgical repair). Surgical repair or reconstruction of a nerve. |
| Meningocele | Mening/o (meninges) + -cele (hernia/swelling). Congenital hernia where the meninges protrude through a defect in the skull or spinal column. |
| Microcephaly | Micro- (small) + cephal/o (head) + -y (condition). A condition characterized by an abnormally small head and brain. |
| Hyperesthesia | Hyper- (excessive) + -esthesia (sensation/feeling). Pathological or abnormal sensitivity to touch, pain, or other sensory stimuli. |
| Encephalopathy | Encephal/o (brain) + -pathy (disease). Any generalized, non-inflammatory disease or disorder that alters brain function or structure. |
| Otoplasty | Ot/o (ear) + -plasty (surgical repair). Surgical repair, restoration, or alteration of the external ear. |
| Dermatosis | Dermat/o (skin) + -osis (abnormal condition). Any abnormal skin condition or localized skin disease not marked by inflammation. |
| Ophthalmalgia | Ophthalm/o (eye) + -algia (pain). Pain located in or behind the eye. |
| Scleritis | Scler/o (sclera/white of eye) + -itis (inflammation). Severe inflammation of the deep white outer coat of the eye. |
| Presbycusis | Presby/o (old age) + -cusis (hearing). Age-related, gradual hearing loss that occurs in both ears. |
