| Question | Answer |

| Hypothesis | educated guess about the relationship between the independent and dependent variable that is testable |
| Independent Variable | a part to change in the investigation you have control over changing on the x axis |
| Dependent Variable | changes as a resoult of the independent variable, what you measure during the experiment |
| Direct relationship | one variable increases the other variable increases, both the x and y respond the same |
| Indirect relationship | on variable decreases the other variable increases |
| Reliability | the extent to which the an experiment test or measuring procedure yeilds that are the same results on repeated trials |
| Control variable | the part of the experiment that is the same in every trial |
| Mean | the average of numbers, a number that is midway in value between other numbers add up then divide by the number of numbers. |
| Supported | Data from experiment that proves or provides evidence that your hypothesis was correct, |
| unreliable | Describes data, sources, or evidence that are inaccurate, fake, or not dependable results, something in the experiment made the data not dependable |
