Histology The study of the structure of tissues.
Epithelial Tissue A type of tissue that covers body surfaces, lines cavities, and forms glands.
Connective Tissue Tissue that supports, connects, or separates other tissues and organs in the body.
Necrosis death of most or all of the cells in an organ or tissue due to disease, injury, or lack of blood supply.
Hypertrophy The enlargement of an organ or tissue due to an increase in the size of its cells.
Alzheimer's Disease A progressive brain disorder that destroys memory and thinking skills, named after German neuropathologist Alois Alzheimer.
Achilles Tendon The thickest and stringer tendon in the human body, named the Greek mythological hero Achilles.
Fallopian Tubes The paths connecting the ovaries to the uterus, named after the 16th-century Italian anatomist Gabriele Fallopio.
Parkinson's Disease A central nervous system disorder affecting movement and balance, named after British physician James Parkinson.
Apgar Score A quick overall health assesement test for newborn, developed by american physician Dr. Virginia Apgar.
