PLACE YOUR STRIPS AT THE TOP OF THE TABLE AND PUT YOUR PLASTIC LETTERS IN YOUR CONTAINER

NOW WE ARE READY FOR OUR NEW LEARNING

SIT BACK DOWN AND SAY....

SO OUR NEW LETTER IS - (S) - and our keyword and sound are sock (s).

GET BACK UP AFTER I DO THE LETTER CARD & KEYWORD & SOUND

- and say " Here is the letter in cursive

When I have the new sound cards on the table line them up from first to last - when I show the new letter & keyword and sound - put back the letter card in front of the keyword and sound. (to stay organized) - ALSO... Have my black notebook laid on table.

AS I'm writing the new words on the board

Spell out as I write - for eg. Sip

NOTE - when I write above the new words - eg. S

I could ask them what sound does the letter s make - (s)

What sound do you hear alike in these words?

as - his ---- (s) with a line drawn through - the s sound has a vibration to it, so we draw a line through it that is called a diacritic

LETS TAKE A LOOK AT THESE WORDS

Write on board (as, his) above write the S - we are going to draw a line through the s that is called a diacritic - which shows that the s is making a vibration sound - like a buzzing bee.
