what is similar between Lorenz, Tinbergen, and von Frisch? they all observed/did experiments with animals' natural behavior/field experiments as well.
what did European ethologists believe in/support? -animal behavior is a biological phenomenon, product of evolution -observed animals of many species in their natural environments
what did American psychologists believe in/support? -emphasized effects of learning ON behavior -concentrated on one species
