Osteomyelitis — Musculoskeletal System Osteomyelitis is an infection and inflammation of the bone and bone marrow. The term can be broken down into oste/o, meaning bone, myel/o, meaning bone marrow, and -itis, meaning inflammation.
Neuropathy — Nervous System Neuropathy refers to a disorder or disease affecting one or more nerves, particularly peripheral nerves. The term can be divided into neur/o, meaning nerve, and -pathy, meaning disease or disorder.
Otitis — Sensory System Otitis means inflammation of the ear. The term contains ot/o, meaning ear, and -itis, meaning inflammation. The term may be further specified according to the part of the ear involved.
Osteomyelitis inflammation/infection of bone and bone marrow
Arthritis inflammation of a joint
Myoma muscle tumor
Ankylosis abnormal stiffening or fixation of a joint
Osteoporosis loss of bone density causing fragile bones
Neuropathy disease or disorder of a nerve
