how can you remember all the planets? we can remember the order of planets by using the sentence: my very educated mother just served us nachos. (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn , Uranus , Neptune).
what are the four mane planets closest to the sun? inner planets are the four mane planets closest to the sun (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars).
what are the inner planets like? the inner planets are terrestrial (like earth).
what is mars also known as? mars is also known as the red planet
what are the outer planets? Outer planets are the four planets furthest from the sun. (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune).
what are the outer planets made of? The outer planets are made of gas (sometimes called gas giants) and all have ring systems
what is Jupiter? Jupiter is ourlargest planet and has a Big Red Spot on it which is acually a storm.
what dose the asteroid belt do? The asteroid belt separates the inner planets from the outer planets.
where is the sun located? The sun is located at the center of our solar system.
what galaxy do we live in? We live in the Milky Way Galaxy.
does our solar system also have other types of planets? Our solar system also has dwarf planets such as Pluto.
why does the sun look like the largest star in our sky? The sun looks like the largest star in our sky because it is the closest star to earth.
does every planet orbit around the sun? All eight of the planets, plus the dwarf planets, orbit around the sun.
how do we keep finding out more information about space? technology continues to change allowing us to learn more about space
