HBV Hepatitis B virus is a small, enveloped DNA virus that attacks the liver and causes both short-term and long-term
HCI hydrochloric acid
HCV a blood-borne pathogen that causes inflammation and long-term damage to the liver
HIV human immunodeficiency virus, a virus that attacks the body's immune system
MRI a medical test that uses a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed pictures of organs and soft tissues inside the body
MSDS similar to a SDS
NFPA National Fire Protection Association- a global organization that creates safety codes and standards to prevent fire, electrical, and related hazards
OSHA responsible for safety in the workplace
PPE Personal Protective Equipment- gloved, goggles, face shield, and clothes that protect people in the medical workplace
SDS hazards and procedures of a chemical. Has 16 sections, each with specific info on the chemical
