1. How can we remember the order of the planets? My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos. M for Mercury, V for Venus, E for Earth, M for Mars, J for Jupiter, S for Saturn, U for Uranus, and N for Neptune.
2. What are the Inner Planets? The 4 planets closest to the Sun.
3. What do the Inner Planets have in common? They are all terrestrial.
4. What is Mars also known as? The Red Planet.
5. What are the Outer Planets? The 4 planets furthest from the Sun.
6. What are the Outer Planets made of? They are made of gas and all have ring systems.
7. What is our largest planet? Our largest planet is Jupiter with a Big Red Spot on it which is actually a storm.
8. What separates the Inner Planets from the Outer Planets? The asteroid belt.
9. Where is the Sun located? The Sun is located at the center of our Solar System.
10. What galaxy do we live in? We live in the Milky Way Galaxy.
11. What other types of planets do we have in our Solar System? We also have dwarf planets such as Pluto.
12. Why does the Sun look like the largest star in our sky? It looks like the largest star because it is the closest star to Earth.
13. What do all 8 planets plus the dwarf planets all have in common? They all orbit the Sun.
14. As technology changes it lets learn more about what? It allows us to learn more about space.
