1. How can we remember the order of the planets? We can remember the order of the planets by using this sentence: My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
2. Which 4 planets are the inner planets? Inner planets are the 4 planets closest to the sun (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars)
3. What are the inner planets? The Inner planets are terrestrial (like Earth).
4. What is Mars also known as? Mars is also known as the Red Planet.
5. Which 4 planets are the outer planets? Outer planets are the 4 planets furthest to the sun (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune).
6. What are the outer planets made out of? The Outer planets are made out of gas and have ring systems.
7. Which planet is our largest planet Jupiter is our largest planet and has a big red dot which is actually a storm.
8. What separates the inner planets from the outer planets? The Asteroid belt separates the inner planets from the outer planets.
9. Where is the sun located? The sun is located at the center of our solar system.
10. Where do we live? We live in the Milky Way Galaxy.
11. Does our solar system have other planets? Our solar system also has dwarf planets such as Pluto.
12. Why does the sun look big from Earth? The sun looks like the largest star in our sky because it is the star closest to Earth.
13. Do all of the planets orbit the sun? All 8 of the planets, plus the dwarf planets, orbit around the sun.
14. How can we learn more about space? Technology continues to change allowing us to learn more about space.
