Empirical Evidence Empirical evidence is information gained through direct observation
theory A theory is a well tested explanation that brings together a bunch of facts and observations
Law a law is a rule of nature that always happens exactly the same way
Experiment An experiment is a fair test that you design to see if your hypothesis is correct
Hypothesis A hypothesis is an educated guess that can be tested with an experiment.
Dependent variable A dependent variable is the thing you measure or observe in an experiment to get your results
Data data is the collection of facts, measurements, or observations gathered during an experiment or study.
