How can you remember the order of the planets? My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos.
What are the 4 planets closest to the sun? (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars).
What are the inner planets? They are terrestrial (like Earth).
What is Mars known as? It is known as the red planet.
What are the 4 planets furthest from the sun? (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune)
What are the outer planets made of? They are made out of gas, and they all have ring systems.
What is the largest planet? It is Jupiter which has a red spot on it and the red spot is actually a storm.
What separates the inner planets from the outer planets? It's the asteroid belt that separates the inner planets from the outer planets.
Where is the sun located? It is located in the center of our solar system.
Where do we live? We live in the Milky Way galaxy.
What is Pluto? It is a Dwarf planet.
Why does the sun look like the biggest star? It is close to the Earth.
What planets orbit around the sun? All the 8 planets plus Pluto and the dwarf planets orbit around the sun.
Why are we learning more about space? Technology is allowing us to learn more about space.
