Day and night

QuestionAnswer
How long does it take for earth to spin on its axis? It takes 24 hours to spin on its axis.
How long does it take for the earth to orbit around the sun? It takes about 365.25 days to orbit around the sun.
When is it day? when the earth is facing the sun, it is day.
When is it night? When the earth is not facing the sun, it turns into nighttime.
Why do some locations on earth get more sunlight? The earths tilt causes some places to get more sunlight.
In June, July, and August, why do they experience a hot summer? It's because the northern Hemisphere tilts towards the sun.
Why is the earth tilted? If the earth was not tilted, we would not have experienced seasons.
Why does the moon have different shapes? The moon orbits around the earth causing it to change phases.
When the earth orbits around the sun, what do we call it? We call it a revolution.
