Night notes

How do we remember the order of the planets? We can remember the order of the planets by using the sentence: My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
What are inner planets? Inner planets are the 4 planets closest to the sun [Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars].
Are inner planets terrestrial? The inner planets are terrestrial [like Earth].
What is a nickname for Mars? Mars is also known as the Red Planet.
What are outer planets? Outer planets are the 4 planets furthest from the sun[Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune].
What are outer planets made out of? The Outer Planets are made of gas.[sometimes called gas giants] and all have ring systems.
What is the biggest planet? Jupiter is our biggest plant and a big red dot on it, which is actually a storm.
What separates the inner planets and outer planets? The asteroid belt separates the inner planets from the outer planets.
Where is the sun located in our solar system? The located in the middle of our solar system.
What galaxy do we live in? We live in the Milky Way Galaxy.
Are there different planets than the 8 main ones. There are also dwarf planets like Pluto.
Is the sun the biggest star in our solar system? The sun looks like the biggest star in the sky but its just closest to Earth.
Do all planets orbit the sun? All 8 of the planets, plus the dwarf planets, orbit the sun.
How do we learn more about space? Technology continues to change allowing us to learn more about space.
